BNP candidate Abul Kalam Azad Siddiquee wins with 141,253 votes beating his nearest rival Jamaat candidate Mohammad Abdullah Ibn Abul Hossain with 71,040 votes. The only other candidate in this constituency is Bangladesn Republican Party Md. Tofazzal Hossain who bagged a grand total of 1,492 votes. This constituency saw 58.13% voter turnout. The BNP candidate Barrister Muhammad Naushad Zamir (BNP) won with 1,76,169 votes defeating NCP's Sarjis Alam, who received 168,049 votes. That's not all, BNP candidate Farhad Hossain Azad also won Panchargarh-2, according to Prothom Alo. We could not independently verify this result.

The BNP secretary general, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, has soundly defeated his Jamaat rival in Thakurgaon-1, according to an official result sheet shared with our correspondent in Thakurgaon. Alamgir secured more than 230,000 votes, while his nearest rival, Delowar Hossain, received 141,000.
