Jamaat candidate Muhammad Azizur Rahman makes a splash with 119,093 votes winning the constituency. His nearest rival BNP candidate Md. Nuruzzaman Liton bagged 93,542 votes. Two candidates from Islami Andolon Bangladesh and JaPa secured about 3,000 votes, collectively. This constituency saw 70% voter turnout.
