Out of 8 constituencies, BNP comfortably wins 7 in Tangail; with the exception of Tangail-3 where independent candidate Md. Lutfor Rahman Khan Azad secured a landslide victory. In 4 of these constituencies, the winning BNP candidate's nearest rival was the Jamaat candidate. In 2 of the constituencies, independent candidates were in second position, while JaPa candidate Md. Humayun Kabir Talukdar made it to the scoreboard in Tangail-2. Overall, Tangail saw 69.5% voter turnout, on average, across its 8 constituencies.

Of the 182 seats where at least 30,000 votes have been cast, our tally shows BNP and allied candidates ahead in 125 constituencies, while Jamaat and its allies are leading in 50. Among the 53 seats in our list where a winner has been identified, the BNP has secured 41 and Jamaat nine. The Election Commission has officially declared results in at least 100 seats, of which the BNP has won 73.

Independent candidate Md Lutfor Rahman Khan Azad won by landslide with 107,901 votes. He is one of the only 273 independent candidates contesting this election. BNP candidate S M Obaidul Haque trails behind with 82,769 votes. This constituency saw 61% voter turnout.
